Chris - Web.jpg

CEO / OWNER

Originally from Baton Rouge, Chris first arrived in Ruston 32 years ago to study Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana Tech University where he also threw the javelin for the Track and Field team. In addition to his education at Tech, Chris also studied aircraft engineering technology at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida before eventually coming back and settling down in Ruston. While at Tech, he met his wife, Stephanie. Together they have three children, Blair, Olivia, and Magnus.

Chris started his career at UNR Home Products and was an integral part of starting the company’s Asterite composite sink division, the first of its kind. After leaving UNR in search of more of a leadership role, Chris found his way to Tommy’s Tees in Ruston where he managed the production team. And while Chris gained valuable experience with both companies, he seemed to always find himself working construction jobs on the side. It had been a passion of his since he was a young boy. His grandfather had been a contractor, and Chris had one day hoped to follow in his footsteps. So, in 2001, he decided to start his own company, Moran Construction.

Licensed and insured in both Commercial and Residential Construction, Chris prides himself in knowing all aspects of the building process and is still heavily involved on all our job sites. He is a Master Carpenter and prefers to take a hands-on approach to ensure all standards of craftsmanship are being met. Chris’ favorite part of the building process is working with and forging lasting relationships with our clients. He believes in going the extra mile so that client expectations are exceeded at every turn. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also an avid cyclist and outdoorsman.
