Growing up in central Illinois, Austin was known for always being outside working on his next project. After graduation, he first worked as a full-time mechanic while also doing odd jobs on the side. But it wasn’t until he made the move to Ruston, Louisiana in 2016, that he realized his future was in full-time carpentry. Developing his skills over the past 5 years, Austin eventually found himself working on one of our job sites and the rest is history. From the day he started, Austin has been one of our most skilled and dependable carpenters that has allowed him to quickly grow into one of our lead carpentry roles. He can be found running carpentry crews on different jobs and is also a fantastic teacher, helping train our part-time College interns. His history as a mechanic also serves him well as we take a lot of pride in our team members having a strong understanding in all types of heavy equipment. Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending his down time working on odd jobs around the house, fishing and hunting.
